dracula | centenary stage company
Playwright and director Charles Morey has developed a back-to-source approach to dracula. The play is designed to put the fear and mystery back in the original vampire story.
Tim Golebiewski build a large, damaged cathedral. the second story archways hid a rear projection screen. primarily, this was used for an ever present full moon. It also created a place for the bats of dracula to fly across or the sky to distort under the power of dracula and his children.
Moons were collected from open source NASA photography for realism. The clouds were procedurally created in notch and then rendered out so many options were available. These were then combined in isadora, allowing maximum flexibility during tech to colour different pieces, adjust playback speeds, composite the scene, and respond to lighting.
